It is like possessing a great treasure that can satisfy one’s material needs and protect one from fear of robbery. It is also like sailing across the ocean in a great ship, with no fear of the wind or waves. The Lotus Sutra is a great treasure, and Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is a great ship. Those who firmly believe and chant it are like people who possess a great treasure and sail across the ocean in a great ship. They have no fear of robbery or of wind and waves.”
