Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the ultimate desire of the ten Buddhas of the three existences and the sole path for all living beings to attain Buddhahood. This is the essence of Shakyamuni Buddha’s lifetime of teachings, the ultimate desire of all Buddhas and Tathagatas, and the unique and unparalleled wonderful Law for all living beings to attain Buddhahood. Those who embrace it will surely attain Buddhahood. Those who doubt it will not attain Buddhahood. Those who doubt will fall into the three evil paths, fall into the Avici Hell, and suffer for eighty thousand kalpas, enduring countless sufferings. Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the seed for all living beings to attain Buddhahood. Where there is a seed, it will surely sprout; where there is a sprout, it will surely blossom; where there is a blossom, it will surely bear fruit. Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the fruit of all living beings attaining Buddhahood. Where there is fruit, it can surely be obtained. If it cannot be obtained, it means there is no seed. Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the treasure of the Law for all living beings to attain Buddhahood. Where there is the treasure of the Law, one will surely attain Buddhahood. Without the treasure of the Law, one cannot attain Buddhahood.”
