Encouraging Words from the Writings of Nichiren Daishonin:
“Those who practice the Lotus Sutra, people of faith, will not suffer. Should suffering arise, recite ‘Nam-myoho-renge-kyo’ and pray to the Buddha. Surely, you will receive the Buddha’s protection. For example, just as a sick person consults a doctor and receives medicine, people of faith likewise should pray to the Buddha to receive the protective powers of the Lotus Sutra. The protective powers of the Lotus Sutra surpass even those of a doctor’s medicine. They not only cure illness, but also eradicate all suffering, enabling one to attain Buddhahood swiftly.”
