“Those who believe in this sutra are all disciples of all Buddhas. As disciples of all Buddhas, they possess infinite merits. Those who possess infinite merits are protected by all heavenly deities and good gods. Those who are protected by all heavenly deities and good gods will avoid all disasters, be freed from all illnesses and sufferings, fulfill all their wishes, achieve all matters, gain all wisdom, and swiftly attain Buddhahood.” (Rissho Ankoku Ron)

Those who believe in this sutra (the Lotus Sutra) become disciples of all Buddhas. As disciples of all Buddhas, they possess immeasurable merits. Those who possess immeasurable merits are protected by all heavenly deities and good gods. Those who are protected by all heavenly deities and good gods will avoid all disasters, be freed from all illnesses and sufferings, fulfill all their wishes, achieve all matters, gain all wisdom, and swiftly attain Buddhahood.
