Randomly select a passage from the writings of the great Nichiren to encourage and explain its meaning in English

Original Text:

“The Lotus Sutra is the seed that enables all beings to attain Buddhahood. Where there is a seed, a sprout must inevitably emerge, and a flower will bloom and bear fruit. Those who recite, uphold, and practice the Lotus Sutra, the seed of Buddhahood, will invariably attain Buddhahood. Just as a stone can be polished into a mirror, no matter how foolish a person may be, if they believe in the Lotus Sutra and practice it, they will surely attain Buddhahood.”
